Have you ever wondered where the hearts come from that we send you with your order?
The hearts are woven with great dedication by the ladies of the Kottapuram Integrated Development Society, or KIDS for short. The organisation accommodates over a hundred physically handicapped and mentally differently-abled people, most of them women, and offers them completely individualised care. At KIDS, the ladies not only find a home, but also a mission in life.
Screw pine fibre is used as the raw material: a practical and versatile weed that grows in many places in the region and thus offers the farmers a lucrative side income.
With the hearts we give away, we cross-subsidise the great talents of KIDS.
