Completely off schedule but well on track

The second stage begins

Gokul Gopinath - 29.07.2021

Only after the thorough disinfection of the house, the workers are now ready to carry out our orders again.
I have never experienced such heavy rainfall before. Roads flooded within minutes, power outages, the usual, just much stronger. Additionally complicated by lockdown regulations, commuting became virtually impossible.

When there is electricity, I do most of my coordinating by mobile.

This is uncommon in my region and makes it more time-consuming. We will often visit the workers and suppliers, speak with them directly and in some cases assist them in the completing the job.
The weather is improving gradually but Albin's parents had to be admitted to the hospital again. The most essential works on the roof are completed and we begin with the next phase.
The constant changes in plans are demanding: growing number of infections and shifting regulations of the government is unsettling many workers. Only after the thorough disinfection of the house by a team, the workers are now ready to carry out our orders again.

The material has been ordered and will be loaded and transported in the next few days. Simple panels will be used to cover the asbestos roof in the living areas. The panels provide protection against falling toxic particles - to some extent. No big job: the work should be finished within a day.

Albin would like to support me in planning and implementing the project a lot more, but as the only remaining social worker in the area, he is being challenged as never before.

For the subsequent painting work, it is imperative that we pick the appropriate moment so the paint has time for drying. Gopinath and Albin will support me so we can move forward efficiently. The weather-independent work makes planning a bit easier. Since the house is in use, we will be painting it in 2 separate days.
